lyrics
Freezing on the outside
I just got here
standing in line
I’m like a new wave
on my own
I just stare at my shoes and I look at my phone
Smoke show
I hear my jam
Trevor’s my friend (he already knows)
I just slide in like a snake on a slope
I can’t wait to get my groove on
I am the dance floor
you better be free if you wanna dance with me
Lightning on the floor
I break my back til I’m outta control
when I glide in - I’m a full grown man
when the back beat hits they know who I am
I just move like this
spin like that
and I blow a kiss to no one
writing’s on the wall
I just live to get my groove on…

It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles

I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche. dani_bloop
